The User Rights Configuration utility is used to assign selected rights to individual users or groups of users. A right authorizes a user to perform a set of actions to specified areas of the Barr Enterprise Print Server. Without the appropriate rights, attempts to carry out those actions are blocked. A person who logs on as an administrator to the computer where the BARR SpoolCore service is installed will initially have full user rights and full user assignment rights. Those rights can be restricted using the User Rights Configuration utility.
To access the User
Rights Configuration utility, you must be a member of the local Administrators group or be assigned
the Configure - User Security
right. Users with these rights can add and remove users or groups and
modify the assigned rights.
