The Barr document attribute override table automatically sets file attributes for spool files and is especially useful for unattended print spool operation. As files write to the spool directory The directory where files are queued while they wait for printing or routing from the Barr print spool., entries in the override table can automatically set or override file attributes. The software updates the attribute values in the file’s spool header, displays them in the Spool Window, and uses them when the files print. You can set attributes for individual files, groups of files, or all files. You can access this tab from the Configuration Utility.
To view this tab, you must have the appropriate user access rights.
Changes will not take effect until the BARR SpoolCore service is restarted. Depending on
the nature of the changes, there can be a 20-second delay when restarting
the service.

Allows you to specify which override table to use. You can define more than one override table, but you can use only one override table at a time for all spool printers. Once an override table has been created, use the list to select an override table and click OK. The Barr SpoolCore service must be restarted to activate the override table. The default is <None>.

Add button
Creates a new override table. Displays the Rules Editor dialog box.
Modify button
Modifies an override table. Displays the Rules Editor dialog box.
Remove button
Removes the selected override table.
Rename button
Renames the selected override table. Displays the Rename Override Table dialog box.
Allows you to import DOS FATs that have been converted using the DOS FAT Conversion Utility. Once the FATs are converted, they are in the format of BARR/SPOOL override tables and can be imported using the import feature.
Allows you to merge up to six override tables into a new override table.

Use the Import Override Table Files dialog box to select and import converted DOS FAT files.
Merge button
Use the Merge Override Table Files dialog box to select and import converted DOS FAT files. We recommend reviewing and, if necessary, modifying the merged override table to ensure that the logic is correct.
